Chelsea To ANNOUNCE New Signing, Player's Father Arrives London To Complete Move

Sergio Diaz

If reports in South America is anything to go by, Chelsea are set to push forward the deal to sign high rated Paraguayan starlet Sergio Diaz after his father arrive London last week to hold talks with Chelsea.

Sergio Diaz, 16, has been linked to most big clubs in Europe but from all indication, it is Chelsea who will be signing the player. According to reports, Chelsea wanted to monitor the progress of the player for another season but after it emerged that Arsenal, Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested in the player, they decided to push for a move this summer hence the invitation extended to his father to come to London for negotiation.

The 16 years old striker is one of the best up and coming players in Paraguay. At just 16 years of age, he has played for Paraguay’s under 20 team, there has been calls for him to be allowed to train with the senior national team.

However, it remains to be seen how Chelsea intends to get a work permit for him considering the work permit laws in England has been made more rigid which makes it almost impossible for clubs in England to sign players from South America.
