Chelsea To Complete Signing Of Griezmann, Player To Fly In This Week For Medical

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann celebrates his second goal against Rayo Vallecano during their Spanish First Division soccer match in Madrid

According to various reports in the Spanish media, Chelsea will this week complete the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann. According to the reports, the deal is practically done between both clubs and the player is likely to fly to London this week to under go medical with Chelsea before going on holiday.

Earlier yesterday, reports in France claim Atletico Madrid were trying to use the player as part of the deal that will ensure they get Cavani in exchange but as we reported yesterday, such a deal is unlikely as it is insulting to the players involved and according to reports in Spain, such a deal is not been worked by either clubs.

It is believe Chelsea will pay £43 million to sign the player from Atletico Madrid and will be signing a four years contract with the blues. If true, Griezmann should have no problem settling down at Chelsea as he will be well welcome at the club as Chelsea have the likes of COurtios, Diego Costa and Luis Filipe who moved from Atletico to Chelsea last summer to welcome him and Loic Remy who is Griezmann’s natioanl team mate is also available.

Griezmann joined Atleti last summer from Real Sociedad in a deal said to be worth worth £43 million. He scored 22 goals in 37 La liga games.
