Just a few days ago it seemed as though Javier Pastore was certain to move to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea now have a fight on their hands if they wish to capture the Argentinian midfielder.
The latest club to express an interest are Paris Saint Germain, and their director of football is Leonardo who had the following to say, “It’s
true, I have a good rapport with Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini and everyone would like a player like Pastore.” He went on to add, “We are working on possibilities and want to bring players who above all believe in our project.”
No decision is likely to be made until after Palermo’s Europa League game against Thun on Thursday, and Club President Maurizio Zamparini has told the press as much by saying, “ At the moment we are waiting and will make a decision in the next few days.”
He did go on to say that it was a straight race between the two clubs though and said, “We have received interesting offers from Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea.”
Chelsea supporters have been very patient this summer, but they are getting bored now with all the speculation about possible transfer targets, it is now time to stop the talking and get down to business or another quality player will slip off the Chelsea radar.
I hope AVB is not another Arsene Wenger
