Liverpool and Raheem Sterling are currently deadlocked in a bitter contract negotiation, and Sterling has not hidden the fact that he is willing to push for a move away from the Merseyside club. Sterling, 20, is said to be holding out for a move back to London.

Is a potential move to Chelsea a good one?
His future at Liverpool is surely over after a series of comments from Sterling and his agent that have seen the players relationship with the club breakdown beyond repair. I am of the fairly unpopular opinion that signing Sterling would be a good move for the Stamford Bridge team.
No doubt his talent is raw and needs to be developed carefully, but Sterling has world class potential and he is homegrown. He would add to our squad. Sterling’s mediocre season has seen many fans forget about his impressive 2013-14 campaign where he excelled as a teenager. At 19 he was a central figure in a team that nearly won the Premier League.
Despite all of this, I wouldn’t pay anywhere near the reported £60million asking price for him. You can get a lot more for your money. However I think we need to be ruthless in the market this summer, let’s go out and get our main transfer targets.
sterling sing of chelsea
I don’t believe Stirling is a Jose Mourinho target and this is all paper talk fuelled no doubt by his Management team. Jose is well known for his insistence on his speedy wide men to put in a full shift as back up defenders when Chelsea are not in possession of the ball. The excellent Juan Mata couldn’t cut it with Jose so I am damned sure Stirling wouldn’t either. The striker that Jose will be looking to replace is Didier Drogba and that means not a slightly built winger IMHO. KTBFFH
