It looks like Roberto Di Matteo is determined to sign 21-year old Victor Moses from Wigan. Having had an offer of around £4 million turned down as “insulting,” Di Matteo will return with an offer of £7 million up front that could rise to £10 million with add-ons, according to The Mirror. The versatile player has been used mainly on the left wing by Wigan and had a great seasom in the Premier league with the club.
His arrival, along with that of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin, probably signals the end of the line for Florent Malouda. Di Matteo has stated that he expects all his squad to be focused on the coming season, but Malouda will know that his position is very precarious. The signing may also mean the end of Chelsea’s interest in Alvaro Pereira from Porto.
26-year old Pereira also plays on the left side of midfield but more often as an attacking left back. His agent, Alexander Savich, has told Portuguese radio “if there is an interesting offer it will be Porto who decides.” Despite hearing about interest from a few English clubs, the player seems happy to stick with Porto for now.
Chelsea’s preferred option at right back would prefer to rejoin Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, according to MARCA. The 30-year old Brazilian international has won 11 trophies during his time at Inter Milan, including the Champion’s league,Italian cup and league treble when Mourinho was manager.
Walcott and Moses are not necessary but could be beneficial . We don’t need Maicon , Debuchy or Van Der Wiel should be enough .
maicon is good but he will cost around 10 millions and we will pay to him al lot for a few years but wan der weil is youn speed and he has the abilities for playing as starter all year bur maicon is gd to but can play for 3 years or 4 maybe !! up chelsea !! up chelsea !! up chelsea !!
we did nt need moses..we hulk,,,,,van da weil…an modric
Chelsea is not recruiting a new right back that need a player that can play for 4-5 years. Maicon is coming as a backup. He is old and will soon leave & pave way for the younger ones Hutchison and Kean
moses is nt dat kind of player 2 play 4 a big club like chelsea, even thou chelsea sign him,he would never see a shirt in chelsea first 11 and d 3 subtitution,i bet anybody?
Moses will be great addition, Macon will also be good as his age will give Hutchinson a hance to push through and get a regular place in first team as debuchy or van der Weil will block him out
For saying he is not for chelsea,u lack sense.is it cos he is 4rm wigan? Nonesense!
We need Modric,Hulk & van da wiel finish
the attack is too weak at chelsea and now reliant on torres, what if .. he does not turn out?? it is crazy!!!
need serious new power upfront. drogba kalou anelka gone, malouda hopefully going, sturridge cries for the moon … lukaku a big big mistake to buy him (i understand that even in the reserves team his performances were .. forgettable);
Up chelsea, moses is also goinng 2 b useful,in case of injuries and we nid hulk, van der wiel, modric and a very good striker.
i think Moses will be cover at the start and may get better
there is always a risk but he is young
we can afford him
Bring on Moses, he is a young talented player! He is a Nigerian, so he got d energy 2 make it in Chelsea. I can’t wait 2 c him adorned wit d blues kit…
I guess the best option if we really need to buy a right back is Maicon. If we go for a younger guy, it will block the growth of our accademy guys…….just the way i feel we don’t need another strike. Lets give room for lukaku and lucas to grow
