Chelsea transfer news – Oscar, Willian and Gordon

With no football right now we can only concern ourselves with the best Chelsea transfer rumours (or check out the Free Golf Betting Tips Online instead!) but if you prefer the rumours then it is worth mentioning that the 20-year old Brazilian playmaker Oscar has confirmed that he attended a Chelsea medical after arriving at Heathrow this week. Speaking after playing for Brazil yesterday against team GB in Middlesborough, Oscar denied that his transfer to Chelsea was decided.

“I didn’t sign any contract yet and I will wait until after the Olympic games to decide my future.”

The talented young midfielder had previously told Brazilian reporters that he was going to remain at his current club, Internacional. He seems to be edging closer to joining Chelsea and admitted that it would be a dream come true to play in the Premier league. I am quietly confident that Oscar will be at Stamford Bridge next season, he is just trying to focus on the Olympics and avoid too much media speculation.

Another Brazilian midfielder that Chelsea have apparently made an offer for is 23-year old Willian Borges Da Silva. Shaktar Donetsk claim to have rejected a bid of £26 million from the Blues but there is an element of confusion in the reports.

Rinat Akhmetov told the media that he would allow Willian to leave for 30 million euros, and Willian believes that the Chelsea offer must, therefore, have been 26 million euros, not pounds.

Willian is angry that Shaktar did not accept the offer as he was desperate to join the European champions, but he has not given up.

“It’s a matter of waiting. A lot can still happen.”

The 21-year old left back Ben Gordon will again go out on loan. Chelsea have agreed a six month deal with Birmingham City to keep up the youngster’s progress. He spent the second half of last season at Kilmarnock, helping them to victory in the Scottish League Cup over Celtic.
