Everton have a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend to face League leaders Chelsea, and they are missing lots of key personnel as they try to halt a run of 23 games against Chelsea without a win.
The latest bad news is that Joseph Yobo will be out until the New Year, after coming off after just 15 minutes against Tottenham with a hamstring problem.
Yobo joins Anichebe, Arteta, Jagielka, Neville, Vaughan and Osman in the treatment room, while Distin and Gosling are likely to face late fitness tests.
To make it worse Tim Cahill is suspended for this game. But David Moyes will have taken heart from last weeks brilliant comeback against Tottenham, and as the last three league meetings with Chelsea ended in draws he won’t be giving it up as a lost cause.
Chelsea also have a few problems, with Michael Essien limping off against Apoel Nicosia in midweek, joining Kalou, Sturridge, Bosingwa and Alex on the treatment table.
But Chelsea are also desperate to regain their momentum after three games without a win, and Everton could be on the receiving end of a lashing as Chelsea aim to get back on course for the title.
