Chelsea youngster Lucas Piazon has moved to Primera Liga outfit Malaga on loan until the end of the season.
The highly rated 18 year-old has gone on loan to seek some first-team action, with a view to fighting for some game time back at Stamford Bridge next season.
Chelsea signed the Brazilian from Sao Paulo last January, and has featured 3 times for the Blues first team. He made his Premier League bow in last months 8-0 thrashing of Aston Villa, earning and taking a penalty, which was saved.
Malaga currently sit in fifth place in La Liga, and are still participating in the Champions League.
He is hoping to push for plenty of time on the pitch for the club alongside fellow youngster Isco, who has been followed by many big clubs including Piazon’s parent club, Chelsea.
The Blues as well as Manchester City were reported to be lining up bids to buy the Spaniard, who apparently has a £18Million release clause in his contract.
Chelsea has a plethora of talented midfield options currently at the club, with Kevin De Bruyne, Josh McEachran and now Piazon all on loan until the end of the season.
The West London club will not be able to offer all of these players playing time next season, with some having to be moved on.
Piazon is a great young talent, as he showed in his 2 Capitol One Cup appearances this season. I hope he can fight his way into the Malaga first-team and come back to Chelsea a more mature footballer.
