That Chelsea could do with another good striker to cover for Diego Costa and Loic Remy when there usual bolt of injuries arise is no news. Due to the constant romance with injuries by Costa and Remy, it is thought Chelsea will actively be looking to sign a striker once the summer transfer window re-opens.
However, a striker has confirmed he will be joining Chelsea in the summer. Although not a new buy, but Bertrand Traore who is currently on loan to Vitesse from Chelsea has made it clear his future lies with Chelsea and will be going back to the stamford bridge and prove his abilities.
Speaking to the press in the Netherlands, the Burkinabé who has scored a total of 13 goals and four assists for Vitesse was quoted to have said; “Playing at Vitesse is a huge experience for me. Now I have to return back to Chelsea to prove my real possibilities.”
Though the Dutch league is lowly when compared to other the premier league, the bundesliga and the la liga, it is however not so far from the Italian serie A and the French league in quality of play and personel. Having scored 13 goals in 27 matches ( an average of almost a goal every other game ), I personally believe he has what it takes to play for Chelsea next season. Definitely not ready to be the first choice for the club but second or third choice behind Costa and Remy isn’t bad.
Should Mourinho keep him next season, it will be interest to see what happens to Patrick Bamford who himself has been doing quite well on loan at Middlesbrough.
