Moussa Sissoko has revealed that Chelsea are probably watching and keeping tabs on him and tracking his progress.
He told French radio station RMC: “Is he following my progress? According to what I am hearing, the answer is yes.
“He is one of the best managers in the world and he he’s won so many titles – any player would love to be coached by this man.
For the moment, I am coached by other people (John Carver). If one day I have the chance to work under his guidance, I would be very happy.”
And speaking on playing in the Premier League, Sissoko added: “I am enjoying myself in the English league. I spent some very nice years at Toulouse.
“When I arrived in England, I started to live something different.
“It is a league that suits me very well. I love everything over there.
“I can see myself finishing my career in England because it suits my style of play.” The 25-year-old French International also reiterated his ambition to play Champions League football in the future.
“All players dream of playing in this competition and I hope to participate in it one day but I’m patient, waiting for my time.”
The French powerhouse recently insisted his plan is to remain on Tyneside, amid speculation linking him with moves to Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain. However, Sissoko’s future has been thrown into fresh doubt following his latest comments on Chelsea’s interest.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, Sissoko would certainly fit Mourinho’s stated desire to improve the squad through quality depth. Hard working, strong, versatile, the French international can play just about anywhere in central midfield and even be effective out wide, if necessary. Not to mention, he’s always played well against us. Especially in the 3-2 win back in 2013, which was just his second game in England. Which basically guarantees that we will sign him at some point it remains to be seen.
