“Ending my Juventus story by pocketing the Champions League would be a dream come true. But I won’t stop playing, I’ll go on as long as I have the same great desire to keep training every day. But I wouldn’t go to another Italian team. Juventus will be my last Serie A team, whatever happens.”
Italian legend, Andrea Pirlo was reported by journalists saying those words. With him calling his time at the Italian league, after a 20-year successful spell, big clubs outside Italy will be all on alert and be making moves towards getting the signature of the ageless 35 years old midfield maestro. Chelsea is reportedly preparing, and on the standby, ready to make a move to land the world cup winner in Stamford Bridge once a green light shows. Although, he went further ahead to say;
“MLS could be an idea but for the moment, I don’t have anything, Juve are the only thing on my mind.”
But with Chelsea having always being fancy of him, and with stellar performances that get better every new season, the blues will definitely be blocking any move to the US league and make every possible move to bring him to the club.
The 2-time Champions League winner is a delight to watch on the field of play. A midfielder who prefers being in the deep-lying role would come handy for Chelsea. No strength, No speed, little stamina and almost not the typical Chelsea-player, but great vision, high passing accuracy, ball possession, quick decisive moves, and free-kick expertise, all these are what make him thick and any coach’s choice any day in that midfield. He won’t be available at a bank-breaking price when declared available after his contract expires at Juventus by the end of next season, hence such quality as an average amount will be great. The 6-time Serie A winner might just be in England next two seasons playing for the league champions, just enjoying new challenges in a new league.
