Juventus and Chelsea have been able to reach a kind of gentleman agreement over the transfer of Colombia winger, Juan Cuadrado. According to report in Italy, Juventus are ready to make the loan transfer of the player permanent. Though the deal was meant to be concluded by January, it has been postponed till March when a final agreement will be reached.
Juventus are ready to pay £15.9 million for the winger to make his stay with them permanent. Cuadrado, who joined Chelsea from Italian side, Fiorentina, for £23.3 million in February, 2015 with Egyptian winger, Mohammed Salah heading the other way, is also keen on staying permanently with the Old ladies. His short spell at Chelsea was a total disappointment as he was unable to replicate his form when he was playing for Fiorentina.
His arrival at Chelsea during 2014/15 winter break was welcomed with a good run of display by Brazilian winger, Willian and this condemned Cuadrado to the bench. Cuadrado made 13 appearances for Chelsea without scoring a goal. He was unsettled all through his stay with the blues despite being used as substitute a couple of times.
The 27-year old Colombian was loaned out to Juventus in the summer and he has since rediscovered his form, scoring his first goal in a 2-1 win over city rival, Torino in October. If his loan deal is made permanent, the winger will be given a lifeline to rejuvenate his footballing career.
