Alexandre Lacazette is back on the radar of Chelsea and they will attempt to lure him to Stamford Bridge in January as possible replacement for Radamel Falcao, per reports.
The 24-year-old France international and Lyon goal poacher was on the radar on Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer following his impressive cameos for the Ligue One side last season. Nonetheless, he opted to remain in France.
Reports have now emerged that Chelsea’s supremo Roman Abramovich is willing to break the bank in other to lure the goal poacher to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea season has been marred not only by poor defending but also horrible dip in form of the strikers. Costa who has been the lead attack of Chelsea, has been known more for his temperament than his goal scoring prowess this term.
On the other hand, Lacazette was on the form of his life last season where he scored 27 goals in 33 League matches. He has also scored six goals in 15 League appearances and Chelsea wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
He is currently valued at £50 million and Chelsea are known to have a massive transfer war chest.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will face Leicester City in the Premier League next Monday and they will be looking to close in on the League leaders.
