Last month Chelsea striker Didier Drogba suffered a horrible collision with Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy, but thankfully he is fit and well and is raring to go.
Drogba collided with Ruddy at Stamford Bridge and was left unconscious and motionless on the pitch for nearly 10 minutes. He has been speaking to the Sun newspaper about his horrific injury and said, “The most important thing is I’m alive.”
Drogba went on to say, “When I see those images again it’s scary. I was lucky, definitely. Playing football is important for me, but being alive and being with my kids and having my family happy that I’m still here is the most important thing.”
Injuries like the one Drogba suffered certainly put things into perspective don’t they. Drogba is included in the squad for today’s game against Swansea City and I’m sure you will agree it would be great if he could cap his comeback with a goal. Go Didier!
