Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed top striker Diego Costa could be in line to play for the premier league champions against West Brom on Monday for the first time in six weeks. Diego Costa has been battling with his normal hamstring injury and last played for the blues in the game against Stoke City six weeks ago.
However, Mourinho has confirmed the trio of Ramires, Oscar and Zouma will be out of the remaining two games Chelsea has to play. This could mean an opportunity for Chelsea’s promising youngsters such as Lofus-Cheek to get a chance to play for the team.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Mourinho said; “I cannot confirm now because the game is on Monday but with two days to train I think he should be ready for this game. For Ramires and Oscar the season is over. For Zouma the season is over. Petr Cech has a chance to be back for the last match.”
