Diego Costa Set To Become A Blue?

Diego-Costa

According to reports, Chelsea is in talks with Atletico Madrid over a swap deal that involves Diego Costa and Fernando Torres. Diego Costa has been on Chelsea’s radar for quite some time with reports in January claiming Chelsea was close to signing the Brazilian Spain international but nothing came out of the rumours and the 30 million rated striker remained with Athletico Madrid.

Newer reports are now claiming Mourhino will consider signing 50 million pounds signing Fernando Torres to Madrid in exchange for Diego Costa. If true, then, it is very welcome news for blues faithful because it will mean killing two birds with one stone. If the swap deal is successful, we will be getting a potent striker and getting rid of deadweight.

A world class, potent and productive centre forward have been Chelsea’s major problem this season and it was evident again in their defeat at Villa park where Torres and Ba failed to get a shot on goal in 90 minutes of football. Diego Costa has 22 La Liga goals this term 8 more than the blues current forwards combined and if Chelsea are to win the league title, they need will need goals from their strikers given that they are behind both Liverpool and Manchester City on goal difference.

In my opinion, this deal if been considered by Chelsea, will be easy to conclude as Torres will be going back to a club he truly loves and Madrid will find it easy letting go Diego Costa as they will be having a direct replacement in a truly son of theirs, Torres. Getting rid of Torres and signing Costa at the same time will be a fantastic step in the right direction for the club. Chelsea will most certainly have found a solution to their goal scoring problems if they sign Costa and with Lukaku returning, it will be a new dawn for the Club one that Chelsea fans can’t wait to see.

It will be a fantastic news if it is so true. With torres being inconsistent in scoring puts pressure on the midfielders. He should be sold to athletico madrid because he is a waste of space in chelsea. Am sure he will play much better once he transfer to A M. And Hazard should stop getting carried away. He is a talented player but he over dribbles and doesnt know when to pass the ball.
