Done Deal – Medical To Hold This Week As Chelsea Targets Agrees To Sign

According to reports by the British media, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United target Sami Khedira will under go a medical with Juventus this week as he edges close to completing his free transfer from Real Madrid to Juve.

According to express, Khedira who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the last two weeks will put pen to paper on a £4 million-a-year. According to the paper, Juventus officials and the player’s representatives have been in talks for week and have finally reach an agreement and all that is left before the deal is made official is for the player to pass his medical.

Khedira has ensured a tough season with Real Madrid with the likes of Toni Kroos, Modric and Isco ahead of him in the pecking offer, the German would only muster 11 appearances in the just concluded la liga season and just three of those 11 appearances were starts.

He was reportedly offered a new contract by Real Madrid but he chose not to sign it and will now be moving away on a free transfer.

On Chelsea’s point of view, I would have love to see him play for us, he is someone who I strongly think Chelsea needs especially if the reports that Mourinho intends pushing Fabregas forward to the 10 role next season are anything to go by. Although he is 28 and has had a major injury, I still believe he will offer the blues more than Oscar is currently offering and he is able to play perfectly the defensive midfield role when necessary which means he would have been an ideal back up for Matic but off course, Mourinho knows best.
