Drogba and Bosingwa linked with Turkish moves

Chelsea’s Portuguese defender Bosingwa may be tempted to leave Stamford Bridge even after the arrival of his fellow countryman and new boss Villas-Boas, and it seems that the Turkish club Besiktas are interested in signing the right-back.

According to the Express, Besiktas are willing to offer £6 million for the 28-year-old defender. There are already five other Portuguese players at Besiktas and with only one year left on his contract Bosingwa may be tempted to make a change for the Turkish League.

Bosingwa joined Chelsea from Porto in 2008 for £16 million and has played in 76 games for Chelsea since joining, but not as many appearances as he would have hoped due to a knee injury that kept him out for a whole year. Chelsea only offered him a one year extension on his contract and this may prompt Bosingwa to look for a better deal elsewhere.

Although Chelsea are looking to reduce the size of their squad they would rather see some of the forwards and midfielders leave, in stead of defenders like Bosingwa. Drogba, Anelka, Malouda and Kalou are some of the players that might leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Also the Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in a swap plus cash deal with Turkish club Galatasaray. Galatasaray have been interested in Drogba for several months and will offer the brilliant midfielder Arda Turan.

The left-sided midfielder is valued at £18 million and was expected to be a target for Guus Hiddink if he had become the new Chelsea manager. However according to the Express Galatasaray still think that Chelsea are interested in Turan and that he can be used to bring Drogba to Turkey.

Didier Drogba has been at Chelsea since 2004. He has played in 306 games for the Blues and scored 144 goals in that time. Arda Turan is 24 and has been at Galatasaray since 2005. He has played more than 200 games for the club scoring 46 goals and providing 71 assists. He has also played in 44 games for the Turkish national side, scoring 11 goals for his country.

The Ivorian is also of interest to Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham and former club Marseille. Chelsea will need to get rid of some of their forwards, Nicholas Anelka and Solomon Kalou could head for the exit if Drogba does not leave, but it is unclear whether new Chelsea boss Villas-Boas wants to keep hold of him.

Personally I would rather buy Arda Turan myself (although i’d have to win a hell of a lot of Casino Games to get hold of the money!), then I would keep both Drogba and Bosingwa and just play them in the important games…..
