Didier Drogba believes Fernando Torres is the right man to continue the things he’s managed to do for Chelsea.
After the Ivory Coast international striker confirmed that his eight year career on Stamford Bridge has come to an end, he highlighted Fernando Torres as the perfect replacement.
Drogba’s departure indeed leaves Torres as the main attacking option for Chelsea, although the Spain international is still struggling to find his form and start scoring back to back goals as he used to, although 18 months have already passed since he came to play for the Blues after a £50million move from Liverpool.
About Torres, Drogba said: “It’s been difficult for him, but he has showed he is the man.”
“Next season is going to be his season and I will try to speak to him. We have a good relationship. We don’t understand why we didn’t play together more, but that’s the past. Torres is the future.”

Torres managed to score lots of times for Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. His move to Chelsea though, didn’t seem to be the best decision, but he can still prove that he was worth the money spent on him.
