Fabio Borini looking to extend Chelsea contract

The young Chelsea striker Fabio Borini was singled out as a special talent by Carlo Ancelotti earlier this season, and his agent has revealed today that the Italian U21 international is loooking for a new extended contract with the Blues.

“Borini has not renewed his contract with Chelsea, we are doing the negotiations to reach an agreement,” his agent Marco De Marchi told tuttomercatoweb.

“The intention is obviously to stay, he has great esteem for the club and the coach.”

Borini was regularly picked in the Chelsea squad when Didier Drogba was away at the African Nations Cup, and has made eight appearances in total since signing a professional contract last summer, and he is seen as a long-term replacement for Nicolas Anelka.
