Fernando Torres joined Chelsea at the end of the January transfer window with high expectations, but after four months he only managed to score a solitary goal for his new club. But after a good rest over the summer he is raring to go and is currently on tour where he will expect to play a full part in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
He has already played 45 minutes against Wycombe Wanderers in a friendly match, and scored a goal, and he cant wait for the new season to start.
Speaking before the Portsmouth game on Saturday he had the following to say. “ I’m feeling good, it’s a new season, a new start for me. It was a difficult four months last season, but now I am already settled and happy feeling sharper and I could enjoy my holidays in the summer after five years without a break. So I am happier after some time with my family and a rest and I feel ready to start the season.”
All good news for Andre Villas-Boas and Blues fans then, as Chelsea look to regain the Premier League from Manchester Untied and mount a serious challenge on claiming their first ever Champions League trophy, and who knows with a fit and hungry Fernando Torres available Chelsea may do just that.
Wish u all the best in your hardwork torres.CHEERZ!
