Chelsea is in for an active summer, with links to multiple players. Big names like Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala, Mats Hummels, and Koke, all could be playing in Stamford Bridge next season. With FFP rules now in full affect, José Mourinho will have to sell players to raise funds. Five players expected to be sold this summer are…
- Oscar
After his drop in form after December, Oscar has been heavily linked to a move to Juventus. Chelsea could possibly get £30million, which is a large sum of money that could be used to buying his replacement, Miralem Pjanic, Paul Pogba, or Koke.
- Petr Čech
After being replaced by Thibaut Courtois, Petr Čech has decided that he wants to leave west-London this summer. With links to PSG, AS Monaco, Arsenal, and Liverpool, Čech will have a number of clubs calling for his signature. Chelsea could make about £9million off the Czech goalkeeper.
- Mohamed Salah
After being loaned out to the Viola this January, Salah has exploded on the scene. He has scored four goals and assisted one in 11 appearances for the Italian side. Chelsea could make his move permanent at Fiorentina, for about £9million.
- Loïc Rémy
Rémy has believed to be dropped from Mourinho’s second choice striker, to third now behind Didier Drogba and Diego Costa. Rémy could be on his way out of London when Mourinho looks to re-amp his striking corps. Mourinho could sell Rémy for as much as £10million.
- Ramires
Ramires has been linked multiple times to Barcelona, with a price tag at £25million. The Brazilian utility man could be easily replaced by a player that fits Mourinho’s needs much better, such as Morgan Schneiderlin.
Everyone has a price tag in José Mourinho’s mind, as we saw with Juan Mata, André Schürrle, David Luiz, and Romelu Lukaku. Nobody is guaranteed to be at Stamford Bridge next season, and if Mourinho gets the right price he will certainly cash in. After all, this is a business, and he is working for the owner, Roman Abramovich. Chelsea supporters are in for a very hectic summer, it will be interesting to see what goes down.
