Frank Lampard – It will be a tough game at Man City!

The Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is certain that Man City will provide a tough challenge for Chelsea this weekend. City have had an incredible seven draws in a row in the Premiership, but have only lost one game, unluckily to Man Utd, all season. After sweeping the Young Gunners aside last night, they will be perfectly primed to take on the League Leaders, and Frank thinks they will cause problems for Chelsea.

“They’ve got the players to challenge for a Champions League place. If you spend £128million then you should be challenging for the top four.”

Will they be feeling a little inferior after such a long run without a win in the Premiership?

“I think that’s irrelevant,” he said. “They are a good team, and that will only spur them to try to show what they are against us. I think attacking-wise they’ve got fantastic options all over the park.

“It makes no odds about the last seven draws they’ve had. I’ve seen them play at Man United this season, when they deserved to get a result out of the game.

“The players they have going forward – if they turn it on, it’ll be a very tough game.”

The goals from Tevez, Wright-Phillips and Weiss last night certainly makes City look potent in attack, but we can expect the frugal Chelsea defence to give Mark Hughes team a lot less room than they were given last night. Another great game in prospect!
