Chelsea’s striker Fernando Torres is getting frustrated on the bench and finally burst saying that even though he’s not in the best form of his life at the moment, he should get much more respect because he’s a World Cup and European champion.
‘I am going to try to be very humble and get back into the Chelsea starting line-up. My form has not been good but I am a world and European champion and I deserve more respect.
‘It’s hard being on the bench but I respect the players who are playing. I’m going to support the team and work hard to get back in.’
‘It’s true that Vicente Del Bosque is worried about me and my form for Chelsea. It’s up to me to go back to being the striker I was before.
‘If I go back to how I was a few years ago, I will again play an important role in the Spanish national team.’
Torres has been sidelined more often than not since the Portuguese manager came to the club and if he will continue to have the same poor form he’s very likely to be also sidelined when he will go with Spain at next year’s EURO 2012.
