Chelsea attack has been woeful this season and this has largely contributed to their problems in the English Premier League and club manager Jose Mourinho and club owner Roman Abramovich may have gotten tired of it all as plans are underway to sign new attackers and speculations are rife about the Blues striker Diego Costa leaving in the January transfer window for Atletico Madrid in a swap deal for creative attacker Antoine Griezmann.

Recent reports have stated that the La Liga giants want their striker back and the striker has also been having a torrid time at the Stamford Bridge so he might jump on the opportunity away and according to reports from the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is keen on signing the sensational French attacker and a deal involving Costa plus cash could tempt the La Liga giant to let go of their fantastic playmaker and goal machine.

Costa has been struggling to score goals this season and has recorded more cards than goals already while summer signing Radamel Falcao has failed to impress since his arrival during the summer transfer window and Loic Remy is also not doing good.

It was earlier reported that Chelsea have prepared a bid of £40million for Griezmann, but with this latest report, a part exchange deal including Costa plus £24m is reportedly set to be offered to Atletico Madrid for the services of Griezmann.

It remains to be seen what will happen with this player but this move is quite a sensible one.
