Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has been linked with Jose Mourinho’s position at Chelsea, following the Blues’ stuttering form this season. While the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Simeone have also been touted, the Spanish tactician seems to be Roman Abramovich’s “wet dream”.
However, it appears Guardiola is yet to decide which club he will be managing next should he opt not to pen an extension to his deal at the Allianz Arena.
Guardiola’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg has revealed to Munich’s TZ Newspaper that he has no idea what his client has in mind for his future and it could be a move away from Bayern, as reported by Soccer Aspects.
“Not even I know what Pep’s intentions are,” Orobitg said.
“We’ve had some intensive talks in the past few days, but when it comes to things like this, he’s very private.
“He will make up his mind entirely based on his own impressions.”
The Catalan has led Bayern to back-to-back Bundesliga titles and, the Bavarian champions are currently five points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund so far this season.
Guardiola, 44, enjoyed success at the Nou Camp – tutoring the Catalan giants to two Champions League triumphs and three La Liga titles amongst others.
Meanwhile, there are reports Bayern are prepared to offer Guardiola a whopping £17m-a-year contract to stay at the club and snub a move to the Premier League. How this saga pans out to be will, no doubt, be intriguing.
