Chelsea are drawing in closer and closer to signing the Brazilian striker Hulk, and according to rumours they might just have agreed upon a transfer fee with his club Porto.
The Portuguese club were vehement about the fact that they won’t sell Hulk for anything less than €100 million, but it seems that the striker’s wish to leave was enough to motivate them into reducing the requirements, and if reports are to be believed Chelsea and Porto have agreed upon a £38 million transfer fee.
Despite the rumours, Hulk remains quiet regarding his possible move, preferring to leave all the negotiations to his agent, and says that the Brazilian national team is his only focus at the moment.
“We know that there is news like that every day, but I would rather not talk about it,” Hulk said. “I let my agent handle it. I am sure the best solution will be found.
“All I am thinking about is being part of Brazil coach Mano Menezes’ plans for the Olympic Games.”
Chelsea are looking to rebuild now that they are facing the departures of strikers Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, and Hulk might be the perfect addition to an already strengthened squad now that Hazard and Marin have also signed.
