Bayern Munich’s coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that he has made a decision on his future but he refused to reveal whether he will be in Bayern Munich next summer.
Guardiola’s current contract with Bayern runs till June next year and the Bavarian giants have been putting pressure on the Spanish boss, as they want him to commit to terms before the end of the year.
The 44 year old faced the press on Friday and announced that he had informed the clubs chairman Karl-heinz Rummenigge of his decision which will be revealed after Saturday’s Bundesliga game at Hannover.
”Karle (Rummenigge) knows absolutely everything,” Guardiola said in the press conference
“The club, Karl-heinz Rummenigge and I have said time and time again that we will say something after our final game in Hannover, and that’s how things are going to stay. I am just focusing on Hannover. I’ve been watching their games,” He added.
Speculation is rife that Guardiola, who has been linked with to both Manchester United and Manchester city and recently with Chelsea after the demise of Jose Mourinho will leave in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to replace pep at Bayern should he (Pep) leave in June and the former Chelsea boss has told friends in Italy that he is “90 percent” certain to take over in Munich next season.
“Carlo is a super coach and a super person,” Guardiola said when asked of his thoughts on the Italian boss before revealing he will be returning to Spain to spend time with his family over Christmas.
Guardiola has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Bayern and they are on course for a third consecutive league title. But at this stage of his Bayern career his (Pep’s) most likely challenge this season would be wining the champion’s league crown with the Bundesliga side.
