Cuadrado joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in January of this year for £23.3 million. However, the winger struggled at Stamford Bridge and he played a little role in Chelsea’s premier league win last season.
During his time at Chelsea, Cuadrado played 12 times, starting on four occasions. However, he failed to score a goal or make a single assist.
The Colombia international was then loaned out to Juventus in the summer and has revealed that he was always eager to leave Chelsea for Italy.
Speaking to UEFA’s official website, Cuadrado said: “The idea of coming back to Italy attracted me a lot.
“I know the football here, I know the language and the people, and the truth is it feels like my second home.
“So when I had to decide about whether to take this chance or not, I talked to my agent every day about my return. And now I am very happy to be here at Juventus.”
Cuadrado would be very happy with his decision to opt for a loan move following Chelsea’s current woes in the premier league.
Following Cuadrado’s return to Serie A, he has been played quite well. The skillful winger has featured 10 times in the SerieA, starting on six occasions.
Furthermore, the South American star has been a real creative force for the Bianconeri having created 23 chances and chipping in 3 assists.
He’s also been quite the player on the ball, with Cuadrado having completed an impressive 63% of his take-ons this season.
