Injury News – Three Key Players Set To Miss Wednesday Match

Leicester City

According to a quote attributed to Leicester City manager, Leicester City may not be without two of their key players when they take on Chelsea on Wednesday. NIGEL Pearson confirmed the club are sweating on the fitness of Striker duo Jamie Vardy and Dave Nugent. This will definitely be good news for Chelsea who know they are just one win away from winning the title if they can get all the three points against relegation threatened Leicester City.

Vardy who scored the winning goal on Saturday against fellow relegation battlers Burnley had to play with a pain-killing injection on his foot. Both Nugent and Jeffrey Schlupp had to miss the match due to one injury to the other.

Nigel Pearson has confirmed he has a decision to make ahead of the important clash against Chelsea on Wednesday.

He said: “We have picked up some injuries in games, like Nugent and Schlupp.

“We will have to assess them to see if they are available for this game or the weekend.

“On top of that we have Vardy’s situation having to have injections. We have other knocks.

“It is not too bad a turnaround getting the players ready for this game.

“But then of course it becomes the situation of the game being earlier on Saturday having played on a Wednesday.

“The considerations we will make will be based on what is right for Leicester City and that is it.”

Although Chelsea is expected to beat Leicester City even if the foxes have their full squad, the fact that they are depleted is good news for the Blues.
