Chelsea and Liverpool have both held talks with Vitesse Arnhem over the possible transfer of Wilfried Bony, according to his agent.
Wilfried Bony has been in spectacular form so far this season, with 15 goals to his name already, so it is no surprise that the Ivorian is being linked with various top teams.
Bony’s agent spoke out about his highly rated asset, saying: ‘Liverpool are one of the clubs who have been considering him,
‘We have been in talks with them. It is clear that Bony has attracted interest due to his good performances and consistency.
‘Chelsea is another club that are very interested.’
Liverpool, as well as us, are desperate to sign a new striker to take the pressure off on-fire frontman Luis Suarez, with Liverpool linked with the out-of-sorts Daniel Sturridge.
Chelsea’s need for a striker is somewhat more desperate, with Fernando Torres the last Chelsea player expected to score at the moment, and Daniel Sturridge seemingly injured all the time.
Chelsea will no doubt be adding at least one forward come January, and Bony’s record is getting better and better for Vitesse. The player is a very exciting prospect, and I would love to see the ‘new Drogba’ playing and scoring goals at Stamford Bridge. Go get him.
