John Terry Replacement? Chelsea CLOSE To Signing POWERFUL 6ft 4″ Tall CB

John_TerryAmidst interest from Manchester United for John Stones, Chelsea are set to launch a new bid worth £40 million for the young Everton defender. With the way Chelsea are struggling this season with the likes of Ivanovic performing woefully, Jose Mourinho believes John Stones could be the one to put his defence in order.

It should be remembered that Chelsea bid for the England international throughout last summer but a deal was not concluded as the Toffees refused to sell their most priced asset; this January may be the time for Everton to let him move on. The Englishman has been a solid rock behind the success of Roberto Martinez’s men this season, and he will definitely cost Chelsea a fortune if they are sign him anytime soon.

According to Daily Express, Chelsea will pay as much as £40 million next January for his service. It is believed that they may be forced to add another £5 million as Everton will be willing to sell him for about £45 million in January. Since he is a young Englishman in his early 20s, he may be a long term replacement for Chelsea skipper, John Terry, who may leave the club soon. A move to Stamford Bridge will also help John Stones cement his place in England’s team for Euro 2016 that will be held in France where he could partner with Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling, in the center of England’s defence.
