As the summer goes on Chelsea have still to make their move in the transfer window. There has been story after story, about this player and that player moving to Stamford Bridge and one of the many names that keeps popping up is Adam Johnson of Manchester City.
The whole of the football world knows that Chelsea want to add a couple of quality midfield players to their squad, but whether City would sell to one of their title rivals remains to be seen.
When asked about a move away from Eastlands to Stamford Bridge Johnson said, “Every footballer has to think about it when the time comes. It is still early, but I definitely would consider it.”
It is a well known fact that Johnson and Roberto Mancini do not see eye to eye, as the City boss has criticised Johnson publicly in the past. In his time at City Johnson has struggled to earn a regular place in the starting XI, but despite this the fact still remains that it is unlikely that City would sell to Chelsea. I for one can not see this move taking place in the near future as Johnson is also being lined up by Everton who could take him on loan, but as one Chelsea Legend once said, “It’s a funny old game” and you just never know what will happen.
