Jose Mourinho Reveals Chelsea Transfer Plans, To Sign Few New Players

Jose Mourinho

“Our squad next season will be very similar to this one, with a couple of new players. That’s the basic improvement.”

Mourinho before the Liverpool clash

The EPL winners ended the match with Liverpool in a draw(no UEFA for Liverpool next season), and are now just 11 points behind second-placed Manchester City who went to rout QPS 6-0. The season is just 2 matches away from coming to an end, and points don’t matter to Chelsea again. The blues have had an impressive season: 36 games played, 25 wins, 9 draws, and just 2 loses. Thanks to a great squad, one the special one is contented with, and has no plans to bring in much changes.

As the transfer market for the summer season opens, the club has kept eyes on some players, but the Portuguese says he only wants 4 major signings. A forward, midfielder, defender and goalkeeper. And the club have been making speculations. Griezmann, Pedro, Koke, Pogba, Stones, Morgan and some others have all been linked with a summer move to Stamford bridge.

The Champions aren’t set to lose much of the first team members. But Drogba isn’t likely to continue at the club, as it isn’t sure if a new deal will be offered him. Shot-stopper Petr Cech isn’t comfortable with being on bench, and the Czech international is set to depart at the end of the season, offers from Arsenal, Tottenham, PSG and Monaco have come his way. Mikel, Luiz Filipe, Ramires, Remy, and few youth players have been linked with a move away from the club.

The coach renewed his contracts and will remain with the club until 2019. He assures the fan that he isn’t leaving anytime soon,

“I want to stay, I don’t want to leave. I’m not asking for new contract or a better contract. I am very calm.”
