Jose Mourinho’s possible return has been a huge talking point for Chelsea fans for some time, with speculation set to continue until a final decision is made on Chelsea’s next permanent manager.
A source is quoted in The Sun, saying: “Jose wants to go back to Chelsea. It’s where he wants to be.
“Every time Chelsea fans sing his name it makes him want to go back even more.”
“He’ll sign for the same money he’s on at Real, even though he’s sure he could earn more elsewhere — like City or PSG.
“Jose could even remain at Madrid but he is clear about where he’d like to go — it’s now down to if Roman Abramovich wants the same.”
This will certainly excite the minds of any Chelsea fan, but the reliability of the source is yet to be seen…
Mourinho has been a favourite at the Bridge since ending the Blues 50 year wait for a top-flight title in 2005, and also went onto retain the Premier League title the following season. He also picked up 2 League Cup titles, an FA Cup and a Community Shield in his 3 full seasons at Chelsea FC.
The Special One has won an amazing 20 trophies in the last 11 seasons, with the possibility of adding this seasons Champions League and Copa Del Ray to his amazing list of achievements.
There has been constant contact between Jose and Roman Abramovich this season, with the Portuguese manager having reportedly advised the Chelsea oligarch on various key decisions this season, including the extension of Ashley Cole’s contract.
Roman and Mourinho have seemingly overcome their differences since Jose´s sacking, and both share a love for Chelsea FC. On the other hand, the Russian’s emphasis on control may be an obstacle in Mourinho’s appointment.
The Chelsea owner has repeatedly tried to do what is best for the club, whether his decisions have always been correct is debatable.
I may be blinded by the hope of his return, but I genuinely believe it is a matter of when the deal is made, not if!
Roman simply will have no justification in turning down the option to sign the best manager in the world, and right his wrong in sacking him just over 5 years ago. If sense prevails, Frank Lampard will be signing an extension in the near future, and Jose will confirm his return home for next season. What do you think?
what is Roman waiting for?
God bless Abramovich for bringing back ”the special one” we ain’t wait to see you arrived season end.
