Josh McEachran will have to fight for his place in Swansea team

The promising young Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran has been sent on loan to Brendan Rodgers Swansea side, but he won’t be just handed a first team place according to his old Chelsea team-mate Scott Sinclair.

Sinclair said: “I know Josh well from Chelsea and he’s a great player who will come in and boost the squad.

“But the squad is getting bigger and bigger and it will be difficult for him to go straight into the team, especially after our last game against Arsenal.

“Every shirt in the starting line-up is up for grabs. Training is hard and physical every day, so the gaffer is bringing in new players to strengthen the squad.”

“Josh will enjoy his football here.”

The youngster seems to be on a fast-track into the Chelsea first team and if he can impress Rofdgers enough to become a regular in this (very successful) Welsh side he will surely have a bright future ahead of him at Stamford Bridge.

It would be incredibly frustrating for Josh not to see the field. He deserves playing time somewhere and for him to be loaned out to not play would be a waste.
