Juan Mata not interested in move to Barcelona or Real Madrid

Chelsea’s Juan Mata, one of the best players of the season for the Blues, stated that he is happy to stay in London, and has no interest to return to Spain.

Although there were rumours linking Mata with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, the young star wants to stay at Chelsea and continue his work at the club after an impressive season on the Stamford Bridge. The attacking midfielder helped his team win the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in a season which started horribly but ended incredibly for the Blues.

Juan Mata said that Premier League is much more interesting than the two giant Primera Division teams in his home country. Chelsea’s playmaker said that he is very “happy at Chelsea” and that “little by little the style of football is changing in England,” with the game not being so physical anymore.

Mata also said: “In the Premier League more teams have a chance of winning the title. It is not like that in Spain where unless you play for Real Madrid or Barcelona it is pretty much impossible.”

It seems that the Spanish international is going to stay at the club even though a permanent manager has yet to be assigned by the club’s officials.
