Juan Mata very disappointed that Chelsea didn't get all three points

the stage is set for a nail-biting end to the season for the fans of Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal, and Juan Mata thinks that Chelsea should have had all three points against Liverpool after leading right up until the 97th minute of the unusually extended game.

Mata said after the match: “A point is a point but we’re disappointed, that’s the truth,”

“We had the three points until the last second; we tried until the end, we defended well in the second half but at the end we couldn’t.

“In terms of the added minutes, six minutes is a lot, so we were very disappointed at the end because it was an important game for us, especially with Tottenham and Arsenal winning.

“We will try until the end to finish in third position. Third and fourth are available, second is another challenge, but we want to play in the Champions League next season.”

“In the first half we did well, we played some good football and scored the goal,”

“Sturridge changed the game in the first 10 minutes of the second half with his pace and he scored the goal, but we scored the second goal and defended very well until the end.

“We are still alive and we will fight until the last game. With three points we would have been in a better situation, but we still have to face Tottenham and Manchester United and we have many more important games to come.”

No less important is this Thursdays Europa League semi-final in Switzerland against Basel, and I fully expect Benitez to send out a much different team to the one that played yesterday. We cannot afford any more slipups in the race for the Top Four, so we shall have to hope our reserves can get us a reasonable result at Basel to take back home for the second leg…..

Guys, we better start considering the possibility that referees want their pound of flesh for the Clattenbug Saga, how else can they do this than by hurting us where it pains the most. The last 2 matches seem to indicate this to me but let’s wait and see. Hope I am wrong.

So disappointed with the referee-kelvin Friend-for purposely allowing suarez to play and adding his time on the already added extra time for liverpool to draw. I think it is a calculated attempt to deny chelsea a top four finish. What has chelseafc done to these referees?
