Kalou – Fernando Torres disrupted Chelsea's title push
The Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou hit out at Fernando Torres last night when he said that Roman Abramovich should not have brought the sulky ex-Liverpool striker into the team in January.
Torres took his time opening his goalscoring account at Chelsea, and Kalou says that the Spanish international was more interested in whether he was picked to play in the first team rather than making sure the team was winning.
“Our players were preoccupied with finding out who was in the side and who wasn’t. This disrupted our progress.
“It is better to build a team gradually than to bring in players who will pout and sulk.”
“Our team is used to winning and when we end up losing, things become hard for us.
“Yes, we won nothing this year but successive seasons do not resemble one another.”
That doesn’t augur well for Chelsea next season, especially if Didier Drogba stays on at Stamford Bridge. Whoever the new manager is is certainly going to have problems keeping both Drogba AND Torres happy….

He may look a bit girly, and adopt a hang-dog sulky expression on the pitch when things are not going his way but Nando is a far deadlier striker than either Kalou or Drogba. He clearly displayed his lightning fast predatory nature and ball skills at Liverpool, hence his £50m price tag. Because of his age, Drogba’s days at the highest level are numbered.
Many people believe Liverpool had his best years and that last season’s injury problems have seriously reduced his abilities. I prefer to believe that his best is yet to come and in a Chelsea shirt.

Kalou is right, yes he might not be the best player of chelsea but his one of the best subs and whoever thinks torres is better then drogba clearly dont know anything about football. Drogba is far better just ask the arsenal defence
