Lampard Reports Back Fit And Well

Earlier in the week midfielder Frank Lampard was sent home from international duty with England with a throat infection, but on Wednesday he reported back to training fit and well.

Andre Villas-Boas squad has been decimated by International call-ups this week, but he welcomed back Lampard along with England team-mates John Terry and Ashley Cole a day early due to the postponement of the England game.

Lampard was able to take a full part in training which was good news for AVB, especially as he was given the news that striker Fernando Torres had suffered a bout of mild concussion.

Captain John Terry was in bullish mood on his return to Cobham and he has been speaking about the game against Stoke on Sunday by saying. “It is going to be a tough game. It is a tough start, but if we want to lift the trophy we have to go their and win.”

Manager Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping that all the other players away on International duty report back fit and well like Lampard, as he finalises his preparations for the weekend.
