Latest Chelsea Injury News Ahead Of Watford Clash

Eden HazardThe Belgian attacker is back in training after missing the 3-1 victory over Sunderland due to an injury sustained in the 2-1 loss to surprise league leaders, Leicester City. The winger will be playing under new boss when he returns and may feel a sense of relief, as former coach, Mourinho seem to suggest that the player practically substituted himself and was not really injured. The news was announced by new caretaker boss, Guus Hiddink in the news conference ahead of their boxing day London derby fixture against high flying Watford City. Though not yet confirmed, the player may yet make an appearance on Saturday.

The coach said, “He [Hazard] had a terrific season last year,I think he can be a key player, as captain of the national team in Belgium, but also here. He was unlucky to be injured recently, but today he practised. Tomorrow we (will) see again. We look to get back the form”.

Chelsea will be hoping to get all their players fit as they will need all hands on deck to recover from their alarming slump. Occupying their lowest position since Roman Abramovich bought the club, the blues are currently in 15th place, 3 points above the relegation zone. Boss Guus Hiddink will be hoping to have the same galvanizing effect he had in his first tenure as caretaker boss.
