Latest Chelsea Injury News Update -Cahill, Fabregas, Falcao & Remy

Fabregas_3179732Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has provided the team news and injury update ahead of the blues clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Dutch tactician confirmed that Chelsea have suffered a triple injury blow. According to Hiddink, Radamel Falcao, Gary Cahill and Loic Remy are doubts for the trip to Selhurst Park this weekend.

Falcao has been on the side lines for some time now after suffering a niggling muscle injury, and even though he has managed to return to training he isn’t going to be fit enough for the clash with Palace.

Another blow to the forward line is Loic Remy who is struggling with a calf problem that made him miss the draw with Manchester United. This news has Rendered Chelsea’s attacking options thin.

Gary Cahill too, was unable to train this morning due to tightness in his ankle ligaments. Although Hiddink has suggested that he (Cahill) may recover in time to make the trip to Selhurst Park.

As well as the aforementioned injury doubts there is still some positive news. The manager (Hiddink) confirmed that Oscar, Willian and Eden Hazard who picked up knocks at Old Trafford were able to train fully today. So they will be available to face Palace on Sunday.

Cesc fabregas who missed the trip to United due to illness, is gradually returning to full fitness. He played full 90 minutes during a training game against the youth team after overcoming his fever.

Guus Hiddink will be desperate to pick up his first 3 points as Chelsea manager, as Chelsea head into the game on Sunday sitting 14th in the league table.
