Leverkusen happy to get De Bruyne as part of Schurrle's Chelsea deal

The Bayer Leverkusen general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser has finally come clean and revealed that André Schürrle will definitely be Chelsea’s first signing of this transfer window, but he may be getting the better part of the deal by getting the young Belgian striker Kevin De Bruyne on loan, who scored 10 goals for Werder Bremen this season in his first year in the Bundesliga.

“We have reached an agreement with Chelsea,” Holzhäuser told the Rheinische Post newspaper.

“They are going to buy André Schürrle for a specific fee and, in return, they will loan De Bruyne to us for a year for free.

“I expect Chelsea to stand by what has been agreed.”

I am sure they will, and hopefully De Bruyne will develop even further to being a top class striker before he returns to the Blues next summer!
