Lukaku And McEachran Set For Loan Deals In January

Today there are reports in the Sun newspaper suggesting that both Romelu Lukaku and Josh McEachran will be loaned out once the transfer window reopens in January.

The news may come as a big blow to some Chelsea supporters who believe one, if not both of them should be in the first team already. Fans forums are flooded with people saying that McEachran should be playing in place of Frank Lampard, and many feel that Lukaku should be given a chance up front in place of the misfiring Fernando Torres.

The young stars are clearly the future of Chelsea and Andre Villas-Boas is aware of the fact, but if they fail to get enough game time between now and January they will both be allowed to leave on loan.

Stoke City have already tried to get Lukaku on loan, which Chelsea were prepared to let happen by all accounts, but the deal only failed to go ahead because of Premier League rules. His chances look limited because he has already been omitted from the 22-man Champions League squad, though he and McEachran, who was wanted by Wigan, are both expected to be on the bench for the weekends game against Sunderland.

One player who has already gone out on loan for some much needed game time is striker Gael Kakuta, who has gone on a four month loan to Bolton Wanderers. He realises he will not benefit from sitting out games or being on the bench and in a recent interview said, “I’m 20 and I need to play. I have to accept I am a man and not a child any more. I need experience.”

If Kakuta does half as well as what Daniel Sturridge did at Bolton then he will do well. As for Lukaku and McEachran it remains to be seen what the immediate future holds for them. Personally I hope it is in the blue of Chelsea rather than any other club.

If i remember correctly,Lukaku stated that if he came to chelsea he would NOT want to be loaned out,and for me and chelsea supportes think it would be unfair and he should be playing in the first team not put out on the bench or loan.I can’t fatham out why we got a new player who has already played in big games should go on loan, think about it and let lukaku have a chance at least till jan anyway, why buy a great player and then dump him off, ridiculous if you ask me

When Lukaku came on in the last game Chelsea’s frontline suddenly became alive and dangerous. The fact that Mata scored drew everyone’s attention away from the influence Lukaku was having. But his affect was bigger than that of Mata. We cannot afford to ship him out. I would rather ship Drogba out!

Am a die-hard Chelsea fan..but my club at times never cease to amaze me.Chelsea has a record of killing people’s talents, thats why you would find that most clubs and players will always snub the blues..this is very sad. Why buying these players at very exorbitant prices and not use them at the end of the day..please make use of the talent we have..we are so tired of being embarrassed by such clubs like Man U, Barcelona, Inter, just to mention but a few. Am so embarrassed!!!
