Chelsea’s Players-Player-of-the-Year Florent Malouda was over the moon at winning his first Premiership title since he arrived at Stamford Bridge yesterday, and now wants the team to go on to beat Portsmouth at Wembley to claim the first League and FA Cup Double in Chelsea’s history.
But Malouda admits that beating Portsmouth will not be as easy as some people may think: “The cup final will be a tricky match,” he said. “We won’t show any self-importance. We will be at our best level.
“I love Wembley, which is where I scored my first goal in England.”
“I am very happy to be champions. There was fierce competition from Manchester United and we won as champions.
“To be crowned on the last day, having been under pressure, that is wonderful.
“The title was huge and I will remember it for a very long time. Now we want to enter the club’s history by doing the double.”
If Chelsea carry on in this form, they will be unstoppable at Wembley!
