With the Ivory Coast crashing out of the African Nations Cup last night Ancelotti can now welcome back Kalou and Drogba to the squad.
Neither of them really set the competition alight and only played in three games, in fact Kalou never played that much at all and therefore both will come back nice and fresh.
There was so much press rubbish that we would desperately miss Drogba and the others that one would have thought we were facing a relegation fight and not battling for the title.
At least they soon realised that unlike the others around us in the table we are not a one man or two man team as Sunderland found out.
We handled the absence of the African lads very comfortably and while we are all happy that they are back early it is not like we were desperate for them.
The only downside to all this is obviously the injury to Essien but that aside this tournament did not even measure a blip on the radar for us.
But no matter that we never really missed the lads it is still a massive boost to have them back 🙂
