As Mourinho plans on recruiting ready-made players from the Ligue one, he also plans to send some reserve players to the French league in order to get them ready-made! It is a logic only the special one can come up with! Chelsea has a wealth of great potentials in the youth team, but most of them won’t be able to break into the first team just yet. They need more exposure, experience, and maturity. One of such is 18 years old Jeremie Boga. The midfielder has been on impressive form for the youth team ever since joining them in 2012. The French youngster hopes to return home for some first team action that eludes him in England.
Ligue one outfit, Olympique Marseille are looking forward to equipping their squad against the coming season. The team is currently fourth on the log in the France first division league, with 5 points behind third-placed Monaco, and with only 3 matches to end the league, a Champions League spot isn’t certain for Marseille. This has been a concern for the club’s fans and faithfuls, sparking talks that the team’s handler, Marcelo Bielsa might lose his place. In effort to get a better squad, the club is looking at the Chelsea’s reserves and Jeremie Boga looks like a possible recruitment, after the player himself declared;
“My first choice would be to stay in England. After that we’ll see. If there are good options in L1 that match my profile, I would definitely consider. Marseille? Why not? This is a club close to my heart.”
The Marseille-born France under-21 international is keen to go home to get top flight football, and this will be beneficial to all involved. The player will get the needed exposure and be ready for Chelsea’s first team afterwards, Marseille will have the services of a player whose versatility in various attacking positions is excellent, and Chelsea won’t have to spend big, or scout for such a player when a loan has made one of theirs ready-made.
