In a news that will delight many Chelsea fans the world over, Jose Mourinho has confirmed the club has no intention of selling Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. The Belgian has constantly been linked to a move to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich with many reports claiming it is only a matter of time before he leaves the club.
Hazard is reportedly seen as a replacement for former Tottenham star Gareth Bale. Gareth Bale is reportedly on his way to Manchester United this season and Real Madrid reportedly want the Belgian to replace the Welsh.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Jose Mourinho reportedly said; “Hazard has just extended the deal until 2021. He isn’t interested in moving to Real Madrid. He will definitely stay with us.”
Although in the world of transfers, things change in micro seconds, it will however be nice if Chelsea can manage to keep Hazard from Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern Munich ( who are the only clubs that can sign him if I am honest ). He has been solid for Chelsea since he joined the club from Lille some four years ago. Chelsea should be keeping their big name stars and not selling them especially if the club wants to be a force to be reckoned with in Europe.
With Abramovich in charge, Chelsea do not need to start their big stars for money. Yes, the club is not up in the category of Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern Munich in world football but to get there, people like Hazard needs to be kept.
It is only a matter of time before Hazard leaves, but the club should ensure that doesn’t happen until 2-3 years from now.
