If you believe all the reports in the media this past week, Chelsea will be holding two medicals next week. The club has been linked to so many players, Gaitan, Falcao, Koke, Godin, Griezmann, Otamendi,Cresswell and many others. However, from all indication, the club could be finalizing the deals to sign both Griezmann and Otamendi.

Otamendi was thought to be on his way to Manchester United, but reports claim yesterday Chelsea has beaten the red devils to the signing of the player after agreeing to pay £35 million for the player which matches his release clause.

The high rated defender reportedly caught Chelsea’s eyes when super agent Jorge Mendes became involved in the transfer dealing. Jorge Mendes a Colombian super agent friends with Mourinho and has brought to Chelsea the likes of Diego Costa, Oscar and Luis Filipe.

Griezmann on the other part was rumoured to be on his way to Chelsea since last month. Whatever the reason for the delay we do not know but going by media reports, the deal has been done, personal terms agreed with the player and he will undergo a medical examination with the club next week.

Chelsea will reportedly have to pay £43.5 million for his signature. Should be report be true and he joins Chelsea, it will remain to be seen where Mourinho will play him as the player is versatile enough to play behind the striker ( the 10 role ), as a box to box midfielder and upfront alone as a striker.
