Rafa Benitez preparing Moses for central role

Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez has been putting Victor Moses through preparation training, getting him ready to play the lone striker role should he feel the need to rest or drop Fernando Torres.

Victor Moses has been put through the paces for this role, as Daniel Sturridge has struggled for fitness and injury, leaving Torres as Chelsea’s only out-and-out striker.

Torres appears to be finding some form, having scored a brace in both of Chelsea’s last 2 games, although he still has some way to go to prove his worth to the team.

21-year-old Moses, who has been used in wide positions in competitive matches, is being primed to replace Torres if the £50million man suffers another slump.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may not be impressed, as Benitez was brought in to get the best out of the man who was his shining light at Liverpool.

Eden Hazard has played in a central role previously, but Rafa has decided that Moses would be a more suitable option.

Chelsea have been linked with January moves for various strikers, but Benitez is readying the Nigerian for the busy month ahead.

Fernando has been working hard, and his last two games have instilled some confidence in me for the months ahead. If he can stay consistent we will definitely pick up a couple of trophies, and will get back into a position to Pressure Man United at the top.

Good idea, even as a false nine, but Chelsea shld target Fellaini,BenArfa,Baines,Falcoa,Huiguain,Busqets and Paulinho to balance de team and hv multiple options then be ready for the possible exits of JT,FL and AC
